![]() ![]() SONAR is setup to automatically use it once installed for those occassions when Bitbridge doesn't work. ![]() I've found that the alternative when this doesn't work is to use another program called jBridge. ![]() There is no need to install any of the RTAS plugins unless your're using Pro Tools.īitbridge does a pretty good job of wrapping 32 bit plugins for use in a 64 bit host. That's why you're getting the error because there is no dll file in the folder to which you've pointed SONAR's VST scanner.Ĭ:/Program Files(x86)/Cakewalk/VST Plugins/ for 32 bit plugins and:Ĭ:/Program Files/Cakewalk/VST Plugins/ for native 64 bit plugins.ĭuring the installation all the IK M products ask where to install the Program files and where your default VST Plugin folder is located for installing the VST plugin. Usually the sampletank2.0x.dll file will be installed into the VST Plugins directory. that's where the program's data and its standalone version are installed. The folder that you've set the scanner to is not where the VST dll file is stored. If anyone is running Sampletank 2 on Sonar 8, their advice on resolving this issue and HOW they did it would be appreciated. Plainly, these crashes could be a result of the incompatibility issues presented in the 圆4 runtime environment, but it should have been the program's job not to recognize the RTAS plugin as an RTAS plugin. It also seems that whenever I switch to a different window while the scan is running, the scan either automatically crashes or goes exceptionally slower. Examples are: FreeAlpha.dll, FL Studio VSTi (Multi).dll, FL Studio VSTi.dll, SampleTank2.x.dll. When I rescan vst plugins, almost half of them fail and the program crashes. I really want to use Sonar, but everything I try to fix this issue resolves none, and even makes more problems. I am running Sonar 8.3.1.372 圆4 Producer's Edition. I checked if the program was working in FL Studio, and it worked just fine. The synth may not be properly installed". Then when I tried opening it, I got the message "Failed to insert soft synth. I then added the folder to the global vst settings and ran a scan. I recently picked up Sampletank 2 and installed it to the default directory in program files\ik multimedia\sampletank 2. ![]()
